3 to 5 years of laundry supervision experience in addition to a grade 12 certificate. Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Internet, and Computer Certificate. Must be able to schedule work and plan, lead, organize, supervise, check, and assess the work of subordinates. patient protection. the capacity to report to others, write reports, and manage a large workforce. compliance with national fundamental criteria for safety and HR prescriptions. Follow guidelines for occupational health and safety as well as infection prevention and control. An advantage would be a recognized National Diploma in Business Management, Public Management, or other related tertiary degrees NQF 6.
Duties
control over the laundry departments. ensuring the availability and use of cleaning schedules and checklists. Ensure adherence to the Ideal Framework Realization and national core criteria. Shut down Management. oversee the delivery and collecting of linen to and from various wards as well as its counting, sorting, disposal, ironing, and packaging. In collaboration with all other stakeholders, make sure that there is clean linen available. visits every ward to gauge the stork population.
Attend meetings and offer input. understanding of laundry bag color coding. management of staff development and performance. Make rounds and check-ups to make sure the laundry team is completing the necessary tasks. Quality control methods are consistently upheld, and proper cleaning and laundry processes are followed. Improve the standards for cleaning, laundry, and infection control. Participate actively in saving and budgeting strategies.If disciplinary action is required, use it. Stock, materials, or equipment must be ordered, received, and distributed. Assemble a team comprising the officers in charge of infection control to manage trash. Carry out any additional tasks that the Manager or Supervisor may assign.
