G4s Cash Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, is seeking a Cash Centre Teller for our Boksburg-based operations.
This position reports to the Cash Centre Supervisor and is responsible for counting, balancing, and reconciling customer cash in accordance with cash processing procedures.
The successful candidate is a self-starter with a track record of maintaining company policy and adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgment in the pursuit of the organization’s goals and the role of operations within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results-oriented and to embody the organization’s values. Compensation and benefits in accordance with company policy and custom. To manage the distribution of all cash bags and containers in an efficient manner. To effectively count, balance, pack, and reconcile the cash belonging to customers.

Manage the receiving of all bags and containers
Distribute the bags/containers to various locations.
Ensure that all receipting is completed. Ensure that all daily work received is processed and cleared on the system. Ensure that the information on the bags is accurate.

Carry out daily operations
Responsible for the safe, prompt, and precise processing of customer deposits
Assist in the preparation of coin and cash orders from customers
Assist with additional duties and responsibilities that management may occasionally request.
Responsible for operating numerous high-speed machines
Monitoring internal system deposits
Identify customer cash differences proactively and report them to the Supervisor in order to prevent any negative customer impact.
Mandatory cross-training in multiple processes to support all Cash Processing services

Sorting of Currency
Verifying bulk money
Verify incoming or outgoing coin and currency from banks and customers.
Balance transaction totals precisely.
Equalize the bulk sum/funds

Instruction and Health and Safety
Attend and complete all role-specific training Comply with cash/coin counting, packaging, balancing, reconciliation, and sorting procedures
Maintain a position of responsibility and trust
Participate in company-created safety forums
Report all safety incidents to the appropriate authorities
Participate in safety education and update programs.
Comply with workplace safety policies and procedures
Always wear protective clothing.


​Qualification and Experience

  • 12th grade with math or accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience as a teller is preferred
  • Solid understanding of fundamental financial principles and data
