Position Description:
Your responsibilities as a Buyer’s Assistant will include the following items:
- Providing administrative assistance for the entirety of the purchasing process.
- Making sure that orders are entered into the purchasing system in a timely manner.
- Keeping the sample room’s control system in good working order.
- Creating, balancing, and maintaining spreadsheets and reports that have been compiled.
- Controlling and auditing the quality of the samples while maintaining quality assurance.
- Developing positive relationships with suppliers that are mutually beneficial to both parties.
- All of the preparations that were made before the presentations.
- Office administration in general in addition to performing ad hoc tasks as needed by the department.
Requirements:
- A qualification equivalent to a Matric is required at a minimum.
- A working familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is required (ODBMS would be advantageous)
- It is required that you have previous experience working as a Buyer’s Assistant.

- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain working relationships, including being helpful and assisting where necessary in the department, as well as having the ability to build and maintain working relationships.
