Duties and Responsibilities

  • To consistently maintain proper and efficient financial management in accordance with Nando’s rules and procedures.
  • To help with cost management and reaching targeted gross profit margins (stock control, waste management, pilferage, etc)
  • To aid in implementing the appropriate corrective measures to enhance daily company performance KPIs (Sales: Year on Year &; Actual vs. Budget; Gross Profit; Ticket Average; Customer Count; Menu Mix; Day Parts; Complaints; Labour Turnover; Payroll vs. Turnover).
  • To keep track of success in relation to daily goals (Turnover, Ticket Average; Customer Count).

Operational Management

  • to make sure that the restaurant has daily effective stock control management.
  • to conduct daily health and safety, repairs, maintenance, cleaning, and hygiene compliance checks and escalate any issues to the restaurant manager.
  • to support the creation of the corrective action plan and the facilitation of the measures required to enhance the outcomes of internal and external audits.
  • To explain and guarantee adherence to Nando’s operational standards and criteria.

People Management

  • to aid in creating and maintaining weekly rosters to ensure that there are enough workers available to satisfy company requirements. to make sure that the opening and closing protocols are followed.
  • To actively address the demands of the business by helping with the hiring, onboarding, and training of all new employees in accordance with Nando’s rules and procedures.

Marketing Management

  • to support all national, regional, and local marketing campaigns and activities with communication and implementation.
  • to aid in creating the corrective action plan and organizing the procedures required to enhance the findings of the mystery shopper report.
  • to carry out the duties of the restaurant manager when that person is away.
  • to support the local marketing plan’s execution in order to boost sales and expand the clientele.
  • to address customer complaints in accordance with Nando’s standards and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

Matric at least 2-3 years of experience managing a restaurant Knowledge of Microsoft Office Accuracy and attention to detail Being able to control a group of people superior communication abilities excellent operational understanding of restaurants Preferred: Candidates with more than three years of restaurant management experience Preferred: Candidates with a current driver’s license and a personal vehicle.
