Position Description:
Your duties as a buyer’s assistant will consist of:
- assembling, balancing, and maintaining reports and spreadsheets.
- general office management and special projects as requested by the department.
- all planning before presentations
- establishing positive, cooperative relationships with suppliers.
- Continuous sample audits and quality assurance checks
- ensuring that orders are entered into the purchasing system promptly.
- keeping the sample room’s control system operational
- supporting all parts of the purchasing process administratively
The chosen applicant must:
- possess exceptional interpersonal skills, be able to establish and maintain professional relationships, and be helpful and supportive when it comes to the department as a whole.
- posses a high level of organization, numeracy, and coordination.
- know how to use Microsoft Word and Excel (ODBMS would be advantageous)
- able to maintain productivity while handling a heavy workload
- Be proactive, energetic, and driven by your own motivation.
- have a lot of energy
- Have a method for solving problems at work.
- possess a Matriculation certificate as a minimum
- flexibility and the capacity to multitask
- Must be able to work with a team
- Excel in a pressurized environment
- It is necessary to have prior Buyer’s Assistant experience.
