DUTIES
Implement the distribution of library content to public and community libraries. Implement library use promotion initiatives, outreach programs, and awareness efforts in all of the district’s neighborhoods. All linked libraries should implement stock control for all library materials. Library material selection and processing for delivery to libraries. Conduct monitoring visits to the District’s public libraries. Staff supervision at the district office/depot. Analyze the user needs that public libraries have submitted. Monthly user data and reports are compiled and consolidated.
[REQUIREMENTS
A Bibl with a National Senior Certificate Degree/B Tech in Library Information Studies / National Diploma in Library and Information Studies (NQF level 6) or comparable studies with at least 1 to 2 years of experience working in a Library and Information Service field. Knowledge of the laws, policies, and regulations that govern the public sector. It is important to have a basic understanding of library and information science. Legislation and prescriptions. Procedures and processes are both important. Excellent human and interpersonal relations, as well as good computer, organizational, communication, and report writing abilities. A thorough understanding of the many stakeholders. A correct code 08-digit driver’s license
