RECENT LEARNERSHIP JOBS

Responsibilities

  • Bank and cash
    • Perform daily cash and bank reporting
    • Cash book capturing
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Supplier and revenue payments
    • Supplier payments and reconciliations
    • Administer VAT, withholding and payroll tax returns and payments
  • Accounting and reporting
    • Daily updating and recording of transactions on accounting software, investigation of variances to budgets and forecasts
    • Assist in preparing monthly financials and ad hoc reports as requested by management
  • Administration
    • Maintain proper filing of accounting records
    • Perform diversified secretarial/administrative work
    • Liaise with external auditors and company secretaries
  • Office supervision
    • Coordinate and order office equipment & supplies, oversee quality of service providers
    • Administer office policies
  • Ad hoc travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Report any deviations from established procedures
  • Communicate proactively and effectively across jurisdictions

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
  • Ideally based in Mauritius or willing to relocate.

Competencies

  • Fluent in French and English
  • Dynamic & Self Motivated, Results oriented 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, Word
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized
  • Honest and Trustworthy
