Purpose of the Role         To imagine, innovate, implement and improve Support Services to deliver on Capitec’s Vision

Primary Focus: (1) To translate Capitec’s vision and strategy into the future business process architecture (Target Operating Model) at enterprise level for various Capitec Support Services (HR, Finance, Planning, Risk, IT etc.) (2) to develop, drive and support new revenue growth business and (3) to drive continuous improvement post implementation of projects to ensure achievement of business benefits which deliver on strategic and business level objectives.

Secondary Focus: Translate business needs emanating from projects, new ideas or system changes into business requirements for developing/buying IT systems. Developing change management/project plans for implementing the target Operating Model together with the policies/procedures/performance measures.

Qualifications         •Grade 12

•A relevant analytical based degree (IT, Engineering, Finance or Commercial), ideally a degree

•8-10 years of enterprise wide business model design and operationalisation of new concepts

Experience   •Translating corporate strategies and objectives into a target operating model

•Initiation and implementation of projects with the goal to implement the target operating model and improve business performance

•Initiation and implementation of new business or revenue growth initiatives

•Initiate and drive continues improvement

Knowledge and skills       Knowledge of the following areas are beneficial to perform the job:

•Banking transactional processes

•Business process mapping methodologies

•Project Management methodologies

•Management Operating System best practices

•Continuous improvement best practices (Lean, 6-Sigma, Theory of constraints)

•Supply chain methodologies

•Incident management and workflow methodologies

Requires the skill to conceptually design new Target Operating Model and ability to operationalise the model, through:

•Strategic insight (Ability to connect the dots and good business acumen))

•Highly collaborative (Ability to work across enterprise at all levels and applying good communications, facilitative interpersonal & relationship management skills)

•Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)

•Concept articulation and presentation skills

•Process and Simulation modelling skills (Enterprise Architect, BPMN, IDEF0, financial modelling)

•Must be able to function under pressure and tight dead lines

•Leadership skills (Applying situational leadership, planning, organising and controlling)

•Operationalisation (Able to develop project/change management plans and inspire stakeholders to implement)

Additional Requirements          •Own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence are pre-requisites

•Be able to travel nationally/internationally when required

•This position requires the incumbent to be available after hours in case of emergency

•Ability to work in an open-plan environment

•Ability to work extended hours during periods of project implementation

•Clear credit record
